The club is accessed by children in Year 5 and 6 and is led by Miss Booth and Mrs Brierely. To enrol onto Cooking Club, contact the office for further information.
This term we have made Thai Green Chicken Curry, Pancakes, Honey and Oat bars, Chicken and Mango Pittas and Crispy Chicken Fajitas.
The children have learnt which equipment can be used to cook different things, how to chop fruit and vegetables, how to peel and grate, how to cook on a hob and using an oven. They have also learnt how to weigh and measure ingredients using different equipment like weighing scales, measuring jugs and measuring spoons. They also know the importance of staying hygienic whilst cooking and making sure you have a clear work station while preparing and cooking food.
